We participated in the LAND-at-scale learning week

Land-at-Scale Colombia participated in the learning week of Land at Scale programme. Every year, LAND-at-scale brings together all its project implementers and knowledge partners to exchange in-person. This exchanges among LAND-at-scale project partners aims to share experiences and learn from each other, to better understand the various approaches and the different effects - what works, what doesn't and why.

We shared our project experiences, which are very particular among the other Land-at-Scale programs because of their three components. Land-at-Scale Colombia supports the land administration processes of indigenous and Afro-Colombian communities, in a fair, efficient, effective manner and creating security for communities to invest in sustainable economic development.

During the learning week, we visited Butaleja District to understand the core of Uganda’s project. The visit helped us to understand the progress made in strengthening partnerships between communities and local land institutions to improve mapping and registration processes along with conflict mediation capacity and natural resource management, including in wetlands.

This was a great opportunity to understand the context and lessons learned in other countries and share our knowledge and experiences.
