Traditional Knowledge for Sustainable Reforestation: New Scientific Article Published
New article in collaboration with Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas
During 2023, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, the Land-at-Scale project, Tropenbos Colombia, and cadastral engineering graduates Lina Molina and Katherine Pulido, along with professor Javier Fuentes, carried out a research process that is now published in the journal Sustainability.
The article highlights how the traditional environmental care practices of the Arhuaco community are key to reforestation and ecological restoration in areas affected by armed conflict, proposing an intercultural and sustainable territorial governance approach.
This article is the result of a collaborative effort between academia, international cooperation, and local communities, a clear example of how intercultural approaches can enrich sustainability and peacebuilding processes.
